Donny Deutsch and CNBC Launch 'The Big Idea'

For an ad guy that likes to pontificate, Donny Deutsch now has an even bigger platform than he has running an ad agency. Airing Sundays at 9 PM and extending to a full 13 episode run, Deutsch will host a CNBC show called "The Big Idea" in which he will get celebrities to discuss cultural issues, trends and the celebrity's own dirty laundry. Now maybe we'll find out what Paris Hilton was thinking about in those Guess ads.

Donny Deutsch- Big Idea Show.... rated lsee than a zero, when Bernie Goldberg was attacked by 5 people not 1 but 5.. he didnt look like a big shot that nite ,Donny looked exasperated, frustrated and just plain stupid. Whats that I hear that during the breaks you did edit some spots. You are a flaming liberal thats trying to pass himself off as a moderate. That nite it was very telling about who you are.

after fuming for several days I decided to let your station know that I thought the show with B Goldberg (sp) was so one sided and insulting to a guest. If a guest is invited on a show at least the host show "glance" at the book they wrote. Donny showed just how rude and bias he is...don't think he will last another 13 weeks..I know I won't watch such a silly, insulting show again

I can't believe this garbage show is still being broadcast on CNBC. Unfortunately this is typical behavior for DD (remember the "all video games are all evil" episode?). Rather than have an intelligent discussion about a topic, he'd rather ambush guests and hurl mud. Perhaps this is his only option since he has no interviewing skills and can't be bothered to do any research (like reading the book of your guest!)

I guess I'm a little late as usual, but tonight I saw the Donny Deutsch show for the first time. He does an excellent job. It was a pleasure seeing him grill a lawyer for an alleged rapist about suing a website and doing a great job.
I truely enjoyed him and we need more like him. More voices of common sense. We don't seem to have much of this anymore.

The Big Idea recently had Dennis Leary on. This man appears to be proud of himself for writing a scene on his show Rescue Me in which he RAPES his wife. Just what our society needs. Another BIG PIG chipping away at our value systems. Hey, here is a BIG IDEA - why don't start holding sex PIGS like Leary and others simiarly situated producers on TV and Cable accountable for ruining our country? Funny how you just can't seem understand why we have so much violence in our country. Have you not figured it out yet?? By allowing the people who produce and publish sex and violence in the media to boast about their evil accomplishments, YOU THEN BECOME THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM IF NOT THE ROOT OF WHAT FUELS IT. Now, there's a big idea for you!!
