Quirky Site Promotes Axe Deoderant

While not entirely new, Unilever's axe2grind site takes a kooky approach to promoting its Axe Deodorant. With videos, images and sound files, the site shares the effect Axe Deodorant has on those who come into contact with it. From a psycho high school stalker to a clothes sniffing clothes cleaning clerk to a Blair Witch Project-like confession, Axe has fun and lets visitors submit their own odd Axe-like experiences. Nod.

Dear advisors to axe deodorant,

My name is chris cicinelli. I believe ur commercials are clever and witty. IT is clearly evident that you are trying to pitch the idea of sex to a mature audience. Mostly graduates of college and older. But u r missing one very important thing... ur key consumer. As a teen who is envolved in athletics and and other activites, i know that most of ur key consumers of ur product are teens like myself. Ur commercials although witty, lack the right platform to reach out to ur core audience. I would be glad to help and possibly pitch out ideas that will give u an idea of how to reach out to ur "core" audience. You are probbaly wondering what an inexperienced teen like myself knows about selling a product. Me being a highschool student gives me much better of an idea of what ur "core" consumers want and how to pitch it to them.
