Best Buy's Geek Squad Promotion Tied to 'Star Wars'

geek_squad_logo.gif
According to Best Buy's Geek Squad, a computer customer support group, many people skipped work and school to watch the first two prequels of Star Wars. Whether that's true or not, as the May 19th release date approaches, the GeekSqaud is latching on to this last, great movie in the Star Wars franchise by providing a feature where students and employees can customize their own excuse notes to send to their teachers and bosses.

I am a shameless geek and I can tell you that for me and my peers taking time off or skipping work stopped after the first movie. That one let us down so much that we were in no hurry to see #2. This next one looks like it might be interesting but no one I know is taking any time off.

Ha! Time off for another SW film. Please! I like recluse took time off for the first film only to find that I'd wasted my time and money. SW is no longer worth it's weight in the geek world. Sad, so sad.
