Welcome to the New Adrants

As you have, no doubt, noticed, Adrants looks different today. Different in a much better way. We owe, with gratitude, this difference to Komra Moriko of design-4-results. A few things to note about functionality:

  • Clicking the date at the bottom of the post takes you to a page with stories from that day.
  • Clicking the magnifying glass take you to the individual story page (Permanent Link).
  • Clicking the envelope also takes you to the individual story page where you can email the story to a friend.
  • Clicking the thought bubble allows you to comment on the story.
  • Clicking any story's headline takes you to that item's individual story page (Permanent Link).
We hope you like it and there's bound to be a few bugs so feel free to contact us with any questions, comments or suggestions.

What's up with the martini glass?
Steve, you need a new icon.
Your idea or were you pitched it?
How is a cocktail glass about
ads and or rants??
Oh you have a few too many and start ranting?
Don't worry, it's the web you can change it in a flash
or a giffy.
Adrants' content yes!
Adrants' Martini glass yuk!

Very nice! Now you're truly ready for world domination.

All ad-folks are piss-artists. The glass works for me. As do mini-skirted ad-tarts. But that's another story. Congrats on the redesign. The whole site seems faster.

Truly Brilliant design. There's nothing just like it. Congratulations.

I wanted to say something about "lovin' it" but apparently that has been taken.

The wrapping is nice, but your gift of gab is what we open for!

Keep it up!

Very cool upgrade- the buttons are great. Now that it looks so good, package-wise, when are we gonna see this stuff get edited for readability? I mean, stuff like "golf ball had a bit of assistance finally falling into the whole"?? The WHOLE? Still, way cool work on the site. Congrats.

PS: We should get the blogger interfaced to ProofreadNOW!

Yeah, it works now! Steve, like I said in my email last night, I like the new look.

It's nifty.

Congrats! Now all you need is a proofreader.

Can't say I like it. Even though I am fairly new to adrants, I liked the old site better, I wanted to read it. This is kinda distracting and the san serif font... yuk!

Sorry!

Posted by: kara on April 21, 2005 5:07 PM

OOPS! I ment the serif font... yuk! its been a long day....

Posted by: kara on April 21, 2005 5:08 PM

Kara, I had to get used to the Serif too. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the comments.

maybe I'll get used to the cocktail glass, "hic"

Like the new design but if you haven't done any testing on Yahoo mail, you may want to. Your new e-mail design does something I've never seen before--your style sheet subverts Yahoo's background and fonts, making some copy difficult to read and the overall look a little busy. Plus, your Adrants logo somehow displays directly over the Yahoo Mail logo at the top. Don't know how many of your subscribers use Yahoo Mail, but it may be worth a quick test to check it out. Aside from that, great look and content. Thanks!

When this came through Yahoo, it overwrote all the colors I had set and made it very difficult to see the Yahoo buttons.

Extremely distracting and gauche would be a compliment. Keep your stuff in the mail piece.
