Nike Brings Kobe Bryant Back to Ad Campaign

For the first time in two years, following his arrest for alleged rape, Kobe Bryant will appear in ads for Nike which will appear in Sports Illustrated. "There is no change in Kobe Bryant's contractual status with Nike. Kobe's inclusion in promotional material for the Huarache 2K5 footwear product is consistent with such Nike endorsement agreements. Nike agrees with most NBA observers that Kobe ranks among the very best players in the NBA, and his training and preparation are key elements of his game," said Nike spokesman Rodney Knox.

Too bad you brought back Kobe......Anyone involved in that sort of lifestyle isn't getting any of my money. Not buying any Nike here!

Pretty sad for a company as large as Nike and the NBA as big as it is to stoop to a guy like Bryant to market their product. No matter how good the man maybe on the court, he got away with something that others would not.

what because he committed adultery??? he got away with adultery...thats something for his wife to ponder not us. he was acquitted of all charges on a case that lacked merit from the beginning. jordan had similar allegations against him...

Shame on you NIKE! You are no longer the clean, positive, wholesome company encouraging people to live up to high standards. You've sunk very low using Kobe -- and you have lost consumers because of your choice.

Personally, I think that just because they use someone in an advertisemen that committed some kind of crime, doesn't mean you have to stop buying it. I mean, come on, get over it! It's not like you're going to commit adultry just because he did. It's not like it really affected you in any way, so go get a life.
