General Motors has signed a deal with computer maker Itronix to manufacture a Hummer-branded laptop, ruggedly designed for those who work outside or just plain love all things Hummer. Priced at $2,988, the laptop isn't cheap but it is said to survive repeated 30 inch test drops and remain functional.

I hear the battery will last for a whole seven and a half minutes on a full charge. Something to do with the Hummer laptop consuming more power than a commercial generator.

Okay, I made that up.

But what would you expect when the SUVs they make get only 10 MPG?

With gas prices the way they are I guess you could park your Hummer and turn it into an office.

You certainly can't afford to drive it to the office!
