Deutsch Launches Ad Conceptor, Makes Ad Week Easy

ad_conceptor.jpg

Perhaps to help win back some of its lost business or to poke fun at the ad concepting process, Deutsch has launched The Ad Conceptor, a menu-driven, concept-in-a-box parody of ad creation. The site promises to make your Advertising Week enjoyable by providing the tools to come up with a quick idea so you don't get stuck in the office working while everyone else is out partying and depleting the agency's expense budget.

This is really funny, but I wonder how does this help with their business. The people at Deutsch must have nothing better to do....

i think good work that gets buzz helps any agency, especially one that is in a rut. this seems to be for "advertising week;" i'm sure a lot of agencies were coerced into making things for it. btw, athletic shoes/comp/men is f-ing hilarious, ck it.

You know what my favorite part of Adrants.com is? The commentary on creative.

The first few posts are always an obvious attempt by the creatives who worked on the campaign to make it sound like the masses are embracing it by posting overzelous comments like:

"this is fucking hilarious"
and
"Watch out...highly addictive and funny content!"

Dude, you're a fucking copywriter. Can't you at least TRY to make the comment somewhat realistic?

Great simple setup, but the actual jokes could've been much better.

The results are boring. I clicked a few and remained straightfaced so I left.

sure, interface is nice and clean. first noises are a bit loud! but i disagree with harry, i thought the videos were the best part. very inside. maybe you need to be a creative who's been on that side of the table...?
