Maria Sharapova Delivers Canon PowerShot

DSC01726.JPG

In a unique street posting, caught on camera by Bucky Turco, Canon has created an interesting, 3D-like wallscape that shows tennis balls embedded into a brick wall as if Maria, herself, was in the middle of the road whacking balls into the bricks. Affixed to the wall, along with the images of tennis balls, are stickers that say, "Maria was here. Canon PowerShot." Very creative if we do say so ourselves. See another image here.

it's cool but there's no need for the "Maria was here," just in case you're an idiot and won't understand the concept, sticker, which had to have been a client mandatory. just sign her name at the bottom. done.

I agree with John. It might have looked better had the Maria was here and the Canon power shot logos been used sparingly.

Does anybody know if Maria Sharapova really endorses that brand?

Maria, in that instance, could be Maria Elena Camerin, Maria Kirilenko, Maria Vento Kabchi, Maria Emilia Salerni or Maria Sanchez Lorenzo, all playing at the US Open.

And these Marias probably run a smaller tab.

Wow! Because Maria somebody who plays tennis let Canon use her name, I'm gonna buy their cameras? Really, does this crap work? Agree with everyone above - sparing use of logos and name-dropping is the way to go. Hate to disagree but I don't think it's "Very creative". It's garish.
