Maxim Living Helps Men Impress Women

Maxim Living in-house ad.jpg

Hoping to teach every guy how to turn his living space into a swanky love nest, Maxim has launched its Maxim Living microsite on which furniture and other lad-pad elements are featured. A house ad, created by Della Femina is currently running in the October issue of Maxim. Guys, check it out to improve your chances with the ladies. Ladies, check it out to see the lengths men will go to get into your..uh...show you a good time.

I think this is more an ad of how to repel women. What kind of statement is "Dinner? Not our problem." That's really the kind of sensitivity that draws women. Any self-respecting woman would think twice before dating a guy with a picture of scantily scad woman on his wall, past age 16. I don't even think it was acceptable back then.

Yeah - it should be titled "How to make your bachelor pad comfy, because you're gonna be in it for a long time."

Are you sure this is a new microsite? The press releases in it are from 2003 and 2004.

And talk about missed opportunity: there is no information or links on the Furniture page to direct people to where the furniture is for sale.

If you dig into the Press Room, you?ll find a press release (dated June 13, 2003) that says different parts of the line are being carried at Staples, Circuit City, and Linens 'N' Things. I guess that?s where the Maxim reader shops?
