We're all for the little guy so we'll share with you the fact Denver agency Thomas, Taber & Drazen recently won 21, the most in its area, regional ADDY awards. Needless to say, they're excited. Needless to say, they should be worried. Cripin's crashing their party.

Crispin is opening an office in Boulder. Should area agencies be worried? No. Crispin isn't after the local accounts. They're there for the mountains and the lifestyle.

I know something of TT&D. Have a hunch they welcome him, and the competition, to the neighborhood.

Denver is full of what seem to be 'little known agencies' winning awards these days. Barnhart Communications happened to win 9 Denver Addys including BEST OF SHOW in Denver for a non-profit account, PHAMALy.

I think with CPB coming to the area these little known agencies are going to be a little better known.

As a Denver creative, I hope so. Ironically, Crispin about seven, eight years back was in kind of a similar situation being in the corner pocket of the country and georgraphically isolated. That is, until they obviously started striking gold.

There are about a dozen agencies that do really nice work here with maybe three or four poised to go even bigger, both sizewise and creativewise.

Goodby got big. now everyone knows about all of San Fran's hot shops. Fallon, same thing. Ditto for Minneapolis.

Here's hoping we're the next to get on the map.
