Atlanta Braves' Jeff Francoeur Hits Them Around the World For Delta

braves_francoeur.jpg

Delta has a new spot that features Atlanta Braves player Jeff Francoer which we like a lot. Perhaps it's because this brings back the nostalgia that once captured the game. Perhaps it's the music. Perhaps we're just feeling emotional this morning. Who know. You watch it and tell us.

Yes, that's a chill-bumper. But will it pay off for a struggling brand in a struggling industry? My bet is Francour has a better chance of hitting a baseball 2000 miles than Delta getting their return on investment. Airlines should be putting their marketing dollars into grassroots promotions to get people in the air, not great commercials on the air.

My bet is Francour is taking steroids.

I think you WERE just feeling a little emotional. That's pretty syrupy stuff. Hurts my teeth ;-)

It's a safe bet that none of the previous closet geniuses will ever be in a big league batting cage, participate in any kind of a tv commercial, or become involved in the management of an airline. This one of the better commercials in a long while.
