Manhood Modified At Brawny Academy

brawny_academy.jpg

In what could be either a genre-busting piece of reality TV hilarity or a horrific cheese fest of epic proportion, Brawny has launched Brawny Academy, an eight episode online reality show in which eight men, sent by their wives, will undergo training to become more thoughtful, more helpful and more romantic. The preview is filled with the usual collection of stereotypically moronic men who think their great husbands when, in fact, they're a bunch of unappreciative, lazy hunks of couch meat. Conversely, it's a collection of men who have been dumbed down by recent society's insistence they dispense with anything remotely resembling manhood and don an air of sensitivity usually reserved for overwrought self-help gurus.

Advergirl reports the series was created by Fallon and produced by Feists and Biscuit's Tim Godsall. Hopefully, this will be more interesting than Brawny's gushing hunk in as earlier online outing, Innocent Escapes.

Gotta disagree with you there - the "Innocent Escapes" work was frigging excellent in my opinion - wonderfully sarcastic and right on target. They had an interesting challenge - a viral piece for a primarily female demo - I thought it was pretty damn successful - and a riot to boot.

Ditto on Innocent Escapes. We still watch that at the office. So funny.

Seems a little weak, but I still subscribed.

An excellent idea!

ummmmmmm....what does one say about this.

Am I more offended by your obvious misinterpretation of the intention of this show (to improve men or to show how stupid all men are? How you reached the latter is beyond me....) or the pathetic ways "Brawny" is going to make these fat slobs into better husbands...

HOW exactly will learning how to throw an axe, mock-joust with another fat slob and run with a push-chair through a mock-obstacle course make you a better husband???

someone PLEASE tell me this is a JOKE....surely no-one is going to watch this crap???????

Dont prejudge how these tasks will make them better husbands until you see how they all unfold.
A: Its a riot, and well thought out.
B: Axe throwing and such is to establish Brawny Man's credibility as a manly man, so the campers wont be opposed to him later when he makes them do sillier things, girlier things.

I have to say that I think it's brilliant, addictive and hi-larious. The Brawny Man's throwaway lines slay me - from "when i was clearing cougars from the camp this morning" to "love is never having to sit on the cold rim of a toilet" - it's kept me watching every episode. And just like certain shampoo commercial, I told two friends, they told two friends, and so on and so on and so on...and that's what successful viral is all about!

I thought Brawny Academy was a stroke of genius. Brawny Man's nuggets of "Woodsy Wisdom" are alone worth the visit to the site.

seems like you've attracted a lot of lesbo trolls who wouldn't know what to do with a real man. Brawny academy... simply put- plain trash.
