Richard Branson Saves Kevin Federline From Britney Spears

scan19qx.jpg

Now that Britney has no real use for Kevin Federline, Virgin's Richard Branson has, apparently, taken pity and recruited Federline for a Virgin Mobile Penny Texting promotion which seeks to leverage legislation that will, apparently, eliminate the penny. Branson, Federline and American Common Cents Director Mathew Eggers will be the first to sign a "Save the Penny" petition in New York's Times Square Wednesday June 21 at 1:30 PM.

Virgin Mobile's Penny Texting plan offers 1,000 text messages for $9.99 per month, hence the need for pennies. Nothing like leveraging disparagement, U.S. legal idiosyncrasies and the lowly penny for a marketing promotion but we'd expect nothing less from Virgin.

Good?!? You rated it "Good"? Branson's normally a smart guy - but apparently he's been smoking whatever Adrants has got.

We'll take a celebrity no one likes, but at the same time no one loves to hate, but wait, it gets better! How about if we have him promotes a bogus petition against legislation that doesn't exist! (In actual fact Congress recently passed legislation to redesign the penny in 2009 to commemorate Lincoln's 200th birthday - sounds like we're keeping it for a while). But here's the kicker! If the legislation actually did exist, hardly anyone would care one way or the other!

That's at least 3 degress of I Don't Give a Fuck! That's Gold, Richard, Gold! Call Adrants, he'll love it.
