Adidas Drives Store Traffic With Rubber Ducks

Thomas Christensen tells us that during Copenhagen Fashion Week, Adidas placed blue rubber ducks in a fountain with a message on the bottom that read, "I've swum too far - help me get back home! Reward for my return at adidas Original store". Upon visiting the store, Christensen ended up with a t-shirt.

They also have spray painted the adidas logo on the sidewalks of NYC accompanied by arrows directing people to the stores. The same color blue is used.

Around Fair Grounds through the years I have seen coupons for free food at some food stand or discounts from some other I sell junk places left all around the place. The things work. People will pick these things up by the dozens. I like the idea.

And it has nothing to do with anything. Adidas should stick to their rather great agencies doing the creative work.
