Bravia Paint Ad Said to be Reminiscent of 9/11 (Yes, We Know It's Stupid)

the_ad_paint_img_large.jpg

Oh, what people will read into things. You've all seen the new Sony Bravia Paint ad where a building complex is covered in paint July 4th-style, right? Well, apparently some in the UK feel the spot is a bit too reminiscent of 9/11. OK. All together now. "WTF?" Good. Now go back to work and forget about these oddballs who seem to have nothing better to do than twist just about anything into some sort of conspiracy.

Hearing the opinions of British people is too reminiscent of the Revolutionary War.

You're in on it, aren't you?

You're all in on it!

Wow. That ad made a much bigger impact on them. I didn't even feel the need to watch it a second time. Guess I'm just an oddball, but I didn't think it delivered on the hype (or much of anything, actually).

Yeah, advertise HD on SD where you can't see the benefits.

This Bravia advert is still not as good as that Crown advert that ran a few years back.

Oh wait - you mean Bravia's not a brand of paint?

L M F A O -- idiot advertising agency and a company desperate to spend cash to turn around their 249% drop in revenues.

IDIOTS.

Hang on, don't FIAT make the Bravia? Or is that Brava and Bravo?

The Bravia is a STUPID name for a TV too!

IDIOTS.

and the advert is just rubbish! A frickin horrible looking council estate, what a great way to promote your product!

I'm not saying working in advertising is easy, but cripes, it must be full of dimwits.

Hey, careful Ben, or we might just ask for our colonies back.
Actually, we're just too polite to say the ad's crap, and have to make up another excuse to try get it off the air.

They demolished the block afterwards. I guess if you can't watch British TV you don't know the amount of crap ads that we see, this is one of the better ones!

Not nearly the work of genius the Balls ad was. Pretty dull
and bad music to boot. The quick cuts totally erase any
"wow" factor. And the rain of muddy paint at the end is
pretty anticlimactic. And what the heck is that clown doing
in there about 2/3 through?
