Second Life Lets Would-Be Creepies Live Out Fantasies

You can do what on Second Life?! That was, and remains, our reaction when we discovered you can role play rape in the back alleys of the commerce-friendly virtual wonderland.

Apparently even Second Lifers can't do the rounds alone after dark. - Contributed by Angela Natividad

And those rabid Second Lifers are shrieking because a few business want to set up shop there? I guess a porn shop or fetish store would be welcome, though. Whatev.

Not only that. It lets bloggers pretend they're reporters!

See, I'd write about this crap being false advertising. Animations and scripts on SecondLife require consent to interact with another player.
If you get a dialog box that says, "Billybob is asking permission to rape you. Accept? YES/NO" is it really rape if you click the first one?

If you don't like the game, just say so. Don't hunt for something to make yourself sound like a tool who can't do basic research.

daveednyc: There's a whole bunch of porn and sex-gear stores already. You can buy those animation accessories - known as "sexballs" because they display as little pairs of coloured balls when not in use, you click on them to "assume the position" - and set up whatever sort of situation interests you.

Also, it's been a long time since anyone really minded big business using SL - at least, as far as I'm aware. They tend to buy "private islands", which give them lots of creative control and ensures no problems with bad neighbors.
