Apple Still Not Green Enough, Greenpeace Helps with Color Projector

greenpeace.jpg

Apparently Greenpeace attended Macworld for no better reason than to throw a wrench in Apple's game, projecting green backgrounds across large company logos as well as shots of Asian scrap yards.

Better still, they have a video of Steve Jobs crooning the sweet nothings they really want to hear in '07. There's even a website dedicated to getting Apple greener.

Hm. Greenpeace is a lot like that scary ex who insists you were wrong but keeps lurking around long after you've moved on in order to spread the word. We feel greener just thinking about it.

Man, you guys really have it in for Greenpeace - all nonprofits for that matter. What gives? Did they do something to your whaling vessel? I don't really see the problem in trying (peacefully) to get Apple to produce less toxic products and implement a better recycling or take-back program.

Greenpeace should use their donors' money more effectively by lobbying for legislation that affects the whole computer industry rather than waste their money attacking Apple, a company with equally zealous fanatics (who are really starting to get pissed off at Greenpeace). It's only a matter of time before angry Mac users start exposing Greenpeace as an ineffectual organization...

Greenpeace is actually trying to mobilize those Mac enthusiasts who, while still loving their Mac products, think that the company could be a leader in using more environmentally-friendly products. Seems to make sense to me. Not sure why Mac users would feel attacked. They're not asking anyone to boycott the products, they're just asking us to ask more of the products we love.
