Britney Spears Waddles Through MTV Video Music Awards Debacle

There's one sure thing that can be said about Britney Spears' performance at last night's MTV Video Music Awards. She delivered exactly what everyone expected; a horrifically embarrassing performance that had to have Kevin Federline rolling on the floor laughing uncontrollably. Practically tripping over herself throughout the limp, lifeless, lip-synced performance, Spears began the performance looking as if she'd just stumbled out of a bar drunk searching for something to hold on to so she wouldn't fall over.

From there, it didn't get any better. Several years ago - before Federline, before kids, before physical and emotional meltdown - Spears would have been all over that stage exploding with high energy dance moves. But at least twice last night, she had to be hoisted up and down from a riser like an overweight kid trying to climb out of a swimming pool.

As she wearily sang, "gimme more, babe," you could almost feel her begging the audience to help infuse her with energy so she could at least make it through the routine without passing out from exhaustion. It's really not a good thing when the backup dancers exude ten times more exuberance than the star.

See the disaster in all its glory here. Damn. Poor girl. At least she didn't pull an Ashlee Simpson and leave the stage. Points for that. It all makes us pine for the days of the Britney/Madonna Kiss.

Poor thing, and she's not even singing, but play-backing (if that is a word.)

Hey Steve, fix your video link to last night's performance. When I click on the link to view the video all I get is a page that says "You need to be Steve Hall to do that."

Who/where/what would Kevin Federline be exactly without Britney Spears? Would leave him out of it, considering his irrelevance to Brit and the rest of the music industry. There are/were plenty of others laughing at her as it is, besides you.

I suppose you could have pulled off a better performance or have less of a waddle? just sayin'. always easy to play critic, ain't it?

She looks hot for a MILF, but let's face it, she's getting paid millions to portray a certain type of fantasy, and that's why ppl are turning, because they are not getting what they paid for...it's plain to see that the industry is beginning to eat her alive. She's made a fortune by anyone's standards, she should be with her family, raise her kids, work on some REAL music, not these stoopid meaningless cheap stripper beats, and return to what she loves doing when she's able to cope with it. Oh...and get rid of the yes men in her life!
