Want Some Spider with that Sweet Corn?

travelchannel-thumb.jpg

Arg! Get a load of this print ad for the Travel Channel.

And gross! Watch the spot with the cow heart vending machine.

The funny thing is, something about the slogan -- "One man's weird is another man's wonderful" -- makes us hungry.

The spots were composed by the very weird, slightly wonderful Moroch.

Too bad Andrew Zimmern (pictured)is such an ass! He is from my area and I have had the displeasure to work with him. He is a pompous ass! The Travel Channel can have this Prima-Donna - don't send him back here!

Isn't being an ass almost a pre-requisite for being on TV?

I've seen the show and snippets of these spots. I like both just enough to stop a for a moment to watch.

I can't stand Zimmerman. He comes across as such a prototypical 'ugly american.' He insults other culture's foods, and then when he eats something he never looks like he actually enjoys it. He looks smug too.

Now Bourdain, he's a great guy. Respectful of his hosts, and actually knows food.
