That 'Banned' Wendy's Commercial Continues to Spread
In case you haven't seen it (though it's a year old so maybe you have), here's the "banned" Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich commercial it's creator claims he created but was not approved by the client. He says Wendy's has nothing to do with it but we're sure they're quietly smiling over the video's growing popularity.

Not sure why this would be banned...because the guy "explodes?" It's somewhat entertaining, but nothing that shocking.
Even if this was banned, wouldn't Wendy's still own the commercial since they paid for production?
I'd imagine it's technically not legal for the copywriter to post this.
If that's true, something is fishy and Wendy's is probably behind it.

I think the fact that they say it was "banned" makes it even more interesting for most people and therefor more viral...
I never said I created it. It was an ad created by McCann that then never ran for obvious reasons. I liked it, so I posted it on youtube.
