Homebuilder Plays Matchmaker. Garsh, that's So Hip.

"Hey Adrants! I don't know if you'd be interested or not, but this homebuilder is hip." (Signed "anon.")

An email like the one above is a really good way of guaranteeing we will quietly hate your company even before we're exposed to its creative. Anyway, check out Shapell Matchmaker, a Shapell Homes campaign that pairs people to their ideal corner of suburbia.

See cheesy video. (Was Bruce Campbell busy?) I took the website quiz, which was kind of fun. My perfect match was the Glens in Gilroy.

So not hip.

"Interactatious"? Sweet jesus, that's awful. And way to ruin "word" for the rest of us, jerks.

Not that the rest of us builders don't look bad enough they had to go and execute horribly. Just because no one in the industry has done something yet doesn't mean that you should be the first.

It was totally cheesey, but as someone who does real estate marketing, it was so much more refreshing than creating yet another flyer listing the fabulous details of this "great new condo conversion."
