Creative Circus Students Win Future Lions, Host Bake Sales to Fund Travel

creative_circus_future_lions.jpg

What's a group of poor, starving Creative Circus students to do when they find out they've just won Cannes Future Lions and really, really need to get to France by Monday? They host a bake sale, of course, selling cookies for $500 a pop.

So if there are any altruistic types out there with a spare $6,000 or so laying around to help these winners make their way to Cannes, get in touch with them here. Oh, and if you have any cash left over after than, feel free to send the Adrants crew as well.

First of all, congratulations on their win. In a case like this, depending on the number of students, I think that a special fund, shared equally between Creative Circus and the sponsor of the event, should shell out the tickets and a hotel accommodation. Getting a trophy is a wonderful thing, but the whole idea of this is the actual investment value it should provide to the careers of these students. Agencies are routinely paying their employees for bad creative. When a student wins such a prestigious acknowledgement, there should be some value that supercedes the trophy; and that should include the travel and experience of Paris France to receive this acknowledgement.
