States Riffed on in LowerMyBills Ad

lowermybills_banner.jpg

Adverlicious points to an interesting ad for LowerMyBills which features a collection of vanity license plates that, supposedly, riff off the reputation of individual states. Some more biting than others. Here’s a look at a few.

The silly but sensible ones:

Big Chill (AK)
Patriot (MA)
Primary (NH)
Peach (GA)
Earnhardt (NC)
Hang Loose (HI)
Vikings (MN)

The wacky ones:

Fear No Beer (ME)
Beep Beep (SC)
Moonlight (VT)
Polkatown (PA)
Chug A Lug (WI)

But, as Adverlicious tells us, the “Montana one takes the cake, would offend/delight many, and may be a hidden subversive statement … “Free Men” (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montana_Freemen). Christians, guns, FBI: it’s all here.”

And Adverlicious is right when they tell us, “Awesomely, awesomely strange to see a mega-company ad with covert political messages so brazenly ‘hidden’ in it!”

Strange indeed.
