LOL Project to Bring Smiles to Paris, New York, the World

angela_natividad_lol_project.jpg

Friend and former Adrants Editor Angela Natividad, now living the life in Paris, sent along some information about a project she's involved with. We like it so we want her to tell you about it.

"French fashion photographer David Ken recently decided that people, particularly people in Paris, accumulate too many reasons to be gloomy and too few reasons to smile. So he decided to take a hiatus from paying work and embark on a mission.

Hence the LOL Project, his effort to photograph 1000 portraits of Parisians in the midst of genuine laughter. He's already struck a deal with the mayor of the city, who's agreed to let him turn the city into a huge laughing gallery under the banner 'I LOL Paris.'

Ford Fiesta Kicks Lamborghini's Ass, Aids Escape From Zombies

ford_fiesta_lamborghini.jpg

So the 2011Ford Fiesta is almost here. How is Ford touting the vehicle? A couple of different ways. It's being compared to a Lamborghini and it's being hyped as an escape vehicle from zombies. OK, then.

At first blush, one might respond to those two approaches with "Seriously?" and "Well, that's relevant!" But, as we find out...cool and the Lamborghini is, it can't beat the turning radius of the Fiesta nor does it have side mirror turn signals or key-less entry or a trunk you can actually fit stuff in. You know, the important stuff. Though if cost weren't an issue, we're pretty sure people would go with the Lamborghini. Thankfully for Ford, price is always an issue.

Two Guys, One Cup. OK, Not Really.

clean_shit.jpg

Truly disgusting. But a powerful message. View at your own risk. Feces are involved. But it's all in the name of the need for clean water in parts of the world where clean water isn't the norm.

You can thank WaterAid for this message.

CPR Like You've Never Seen It Before

fortnight_lingerie_cpr.jpg

Damn! If CPR were demonstrated the way Fornight Lingerie does in this video, I might actually have remembered the details. No wait, I wouldn't have remembered anything at all. Except for life long memories of ultra hot, lingerie-clad beauties seductively demonstrating the gentle nature of administering the life saving technique.

Of course, after viewing this demo, an entirely different form of compression will be on your mind.

UK Announces Priminsterial Gay Marriage But Social Media Lives On

social_media_marketing.jpg

Despite the UK elections resulting in no government and two men eloping along with volcanoes in Iceland and the threat of invasion from marauding Greeks, Murray Newlands, the one with the cute chick fan club, is planning to run a Social Media Marketing event in London on the 17th June just to prove life goes on.

At the event you will "learn to harness the viral power of social networks." Speakers include Chris Brogan who, if you don't know, is the BMOC in the social media space right now. Sadly, we won't make it to the event but you can get a 10% discount when you book using the code "adrants"

Get all the details here.

Your Hands Are Gross

finger_bugs.jpg

Nothing like calling attention to the unseen organisms that crawl all over our skin to get us to go out and buy some soap. That's what Young & Rubicam New York is doing for Protex Antibacterial soap.

And if the images weren't enough to make your skin crawl (sorry), there's the oh so thought provoking tagline, "The Things You Touch Stay With You"

Thank you, Y&R. We're going to go soak out hands in bleach now.
