Lurzer's to Have Fun With Workshop During Cannes
Here's some interesting work from Lurzer's Archive. Great ads always seem to end up in Lurzer's Archive but we never really know how they get there. This campaign is a humorous attempt at understanding just how a great advertising idea is born and how a campaign evolves. Through an insert that will be appearing in issue 3/12 of Lurzer's, readers can download "the great ads tool" app, to enter a contest which will give readers a chance to be a co-creator of the Archive's campaign.
During the Lurzer's Archive workshops to be held on June 21 at the Palais du Festival during Cannes Lions this year, top creatives Sergio Valente, CEO&President DDB Brasil, and Toby Talbot, Executive Creative Director RKCR/Y&R London, UK, will select two of their favorite ads from Lurzer's Archive in 3/12. Those attending the workshop can guess how the campaign creators came up with these ideas, using "the great ads tool" app for iPhone and iPad. The winners of this contest will be profiled in issue 4/12, as part of Lurzer's Archive campaign.
These "storyboards" will be interpreted retroactively by participants using Lurzer's Archive credit symbols such as the text marker for art director or the pen nib for copywriter. At the end, all workshop participants will be presented with a T-shirt sporting the Lürzer's Archive credit symbol of their choice.
