This Beer Ad Will Make You Go ‘Huh?’

skol_brazil_carnival.png

This is…perhaps…the strangest ad we have ever seen. Created for Skol Beer by F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, ther ad promotes the Brazilian Carnival season. Set to the tune of Wagners’ Ride of the Valkyries, soldiers practice dance moves, kissing techniques and detonate confetti hand grenades.

The ad invites people to enlist in a promotion that will elect five “General Officers” or true rulers of Brazilian carnival. The partygoers can enlist at www.skol.com.br/folia and invite other Facebook friends to like their headquarters and accumulate points.

The groups of winners will be sent on a trip with their friends to the 5 most famous destinies in the country: Fortaleza, Recife/Olinda, Ouro Preto, Florianópolis and São Luis do Paraitinga.
