Cam Newton, Peyton Manning Prank 'Unsuspecting Customers' in Gatorade Convenience Store Stunt

I understand if you're a brand who's going to film a stunt or prank featuring big time sports personalities, you can't really ask them to wait around for days for the perfect person to show up so the stunt is viral-worthy versus lame ass boring. But don't try to pass something off as not staged when, clearly, it is.

Now, none of that really matters in this case because these TBWA\Chiat\Day LA-created videos featuring Cam Newton, Peyton Manning and Jim Belushi's son, Rob, are actually kind of funny.

In each video, a customer walks into a convenience store that's monitored by 8 hidden cameras with Rob Belushi manning the counter. As each of the eight customers attempts to buy Gatorade -- the only thing they buy with beeline precision -- Belushi informs the customers he can't sell Gatorade to them because they haven't earned it. You see, they have to "sweat it to get it."

After a few seconds of banter, Belushi calls for, in half the cases, the manager who is Peyton Manning or, in the other half, Cam Newton appears as a customer. Witty reparte ensues.

All in all, the work isn't bad with each of the videos garnering between 250,000 and 500,000 views since launch August 18.

Predictably, comments range from "fake" to "lame" to "awesome" to "that girl is hot" to, yes, "I'd sniff her ass" followed by, "I bet you would, child molester." Oh YouTube.

And by the way, the same black car is parked in the same exact position in every single video.
