Burke Bolts Carat, Second Research Diva To Resign After Winning P&G »
Joanne Burke, one of the highest profile media agency researchers on Madison Avenue, is leaving the top post at Aegis Group's Carat unit, MDN has learned. According to agency insiders, Burke is not leaving to take another job, but simply to take a career break. As such, she is the second top researcher connected to Procter & Gamble's new communications planning account to step off the career track for personal reasons. In November, Mary-Ellen Vincent resigned as senior vice president-director of insights and accountability at MediaVest. Both Burke and Vincent were key players in their agency's pitches and wins of P&G's coveted communications planning assignments, which was split between Carat and Starcom MediaVest Group in July.
