Dotomi officials report that a rate of 1,000,000 customers per month are signing up for its service, a rate that Israel's 3.2 million web surfers could never match. The company now eyes the American market of 220 million as its new business model of mass sign-ups has transformed its Israel operations into an economic liability. Hence, Dotomi decided to cut off Israeli users or advertisers from being able to engage in the permission-based messaging service.
