If you are a brand or an agency that wants to be a part of what's become the biggest marketing event of the year, SXSW, then we can help you do just that. A couple years ago it became clear SXSW had shifted from a geek-focused event to a marketer-focused event. And that shift will continue again this year as brands and agencies realize the event provides the perfect combination of B2B and B2C customer connection and publicity.
Advertising Week, launched in 2004, is adding a European component to its event. The organization has launched Advertising Week Europe to be held in London March 18-22. Advertising Week, as a whole, has come a long way since its launch in 2004 when the focus was on advertising icons more so than the important work the industry does to jeep commerce rolling.
Last week we were in Las Vegas for Affiliate Summit. It's the premiere conference focusing on affiliate marketing. If you're not familiar with affiliate marketing, you should be. Read this to learn more.
If you have been following us on Flickr, we always try to bring you photos of all the event's happenings. Affiliate Summit is the kick off event of the year for our annual conference travels and a time for reflections and looking at the good and the bad of the year before. It's also a great time to catch a cold from the 5,000 attendees and the tens of thousands who were in the city the week prior for CES.

It will be open bar all night and Chingy will headline the entertainment for the evening. In past years, Clickbooth parties have always been great including their most recent event at ad:tech New York.

This is, perhaps, the lamest ADDY Award call for entry work we have ever seen. Created by The Richards Group in conjunction with the AAF Dallas, the work centers on the notion a creative person's idea are their babies. Though in this piece of work, it's not a notion, it's quite literal.
Nothing like hammering home the obvious. OK, yea, we get that that's the joke and, besides, we're a sucker for cute redheads so we're going to let this one slide.
In the advertising world, there is an award for everything. It's like we're all a bunch of kids stuck in a school that has vigorously embraced the self-esteem approach to learning which, let's be honest, just sets kids up for failure when they hit the real world and realize there's no trophy keeping a neat desk or returning your coffee cup to the kitchen.
It's no wonder the the ad world consist of a bunch of entitled, pessimistic, selfish primadonnas who take great pride in amassing trophy cases ful of CLIOs, Lions and any other form of metal that represents creativity as defined by the same group of entitled, pessimistic, selfish primadonnas that create the stuff.http://www.thehubies.com/
