Watching Toyota's Saved by Zero Will Kill You

saved_by_zero_ring.jpg

Wow. Spoofs are getting better. Earlier today, we shared a hilarious rif on the Motrin babywearing commercial which highlighted the latest fad: really big boob jobs, the back pain they can cause and how Motrin can help.

Now, we have a great spoof of that incredibly annoying Saved by Zero Toyota commercial that's had everyone ranting for weeks. It's done ingeniously with scenes from the movie The Ring.

The Toyota folks must be loving all this hatred. Nothing like an annoying, shitty commercial that keeps going and going and going and...oh wait...that's kind of annoying too. And there's been plenty of spoofs on that one.

iJustine, Karen Get Lost in America With AT&T

ijustine_karen.jpg

Surprisingly, there hasn't been much press on AT&T's Lost in America, a Wal-Marting Across America-style (sorry, Justine) travel blog program fronted by Justine Ezarik, a.k.a iJustine and Karen Nguyen. For a few months now, the pair have been "lost" in America and exploring Alaska, Austin and Chicago.

HP Does Improv for Product Demos

hp-actors.jpg

HP's enlisted improv actors from the Upright Citizens Brigade and the People's Improv Theater to spice up its YouTube learning center, gleefully dubbed MasterPC Theatre.

The point of the campaign is to teach you about the different capabilities of HP products in a refreshing and irreverent way, which it succeeds in doing whenever it's not bringing comedy traffic school to mind.

Expect to see the spots in rich media banners if "the economy picks up," said Don Russell from Source. Produced by Streamline Content, edited by Fluid.

Like, OMG, Chelsea OMG Goes to London!

chelsea_pucks.jpg

OK, so like. Oh My God. Wait, what? Like, scratch that. We, like, can't even, like, fake the lameness of Chelsea Puck, the bimbo, like, fronting a Bebo web series called Chelsea OMG which, like, has the American airhead in London, like, acting all stupid and, like, shit.

Sure. Chelsea's full of bubbleheaded cuteness and we'd definitely hire her as an intern at Adrants. If only to have her in videos, like, OMGing about ads and, like, stuff. But, like, OMFG, she gives us a headache! Check out all her video goodness here as well as on YouTube. Especially endearing is her Cloverfield-like freak out at the London Bridge and her Palin impression.

As pseudo bimbos go, we much prefer the cheerleader bimbo who did several videos to promote the move, The Comebacks. But we still wouldn't kick Chelsea out of...oops...sorry, that's disrespectful.

Motrin Mania Ignited on Twitter, Mad Moms Mobilize

motrin_baby_wearing.jpg

This is one of those thing's that causes one to scream, "Oh for fuck's sake!" Or better yet, "Jesus, fucking Christ!" Why the harsh language? Because, yet again, America has lost its sense of humor and has gotten its underwear up its crack over an innocuous Motrin ad which pokes fun at babywearing. For the uninformed, babywearing (yes, there's an actual Babywearing week) is the art of carrying your child in a sling. You've seen plenty of moms and dads with a child slung around their bodies as if the baby were yet another MacBook Pro.

alec_baldwin_toilet_paper.jpg

- Wipe your ass with. Oh wait, we wrote that story already. Anyway, here's a new one. Now you can wipe your ass with Alec Baldwin.

- There aren't a lot of women who are 38DD and want a push up bra. But for those woman who are, Victoria's Secret has them covered (barely).

- YouTube is out with two new ad units; overlay ads in YouTube partner videos and Adsense-style sponsored videos which appear on the right hand side of search results pages.

- Um. Bearded Ladyboarding. Whatev.

- Åsk Wäppling has found an ad that does a perfect job illustrating how painful the first week of breastfeeding can be.

Pole Dancer Makes Burger King Chicken Sandwich Longer

burger_king_long_chicken_pole_cleavage.jpg

OK so here's one of the most unlikely scenarios ever to unfold in real life. Thankfully, this is advertising which has nothing to do with real life and, because of that, we get stuff like this (faux?) Burger King commercial which involves poles, cleavage, flirtatious (goofy sounding) giggling, pole dancing, seductive looks and...erect chicken sandwiches? Clearly, we've been riding in the wrong subway car!

Carb-Loving Americans Get Relief From Tooheys Beer

tooheys_carb_relief.jpg

Hmm. In what appears to be both a relief effort and a back handed slap at American's love for carbohydrates, Tooheys has launched (yes, a few weeks ago. we're late to this) Carb Relief, part of its For the Love of Beer campaign.

Ford SYNCs, Cat Dances, W+K Getds $150M From Nokia

ford_sync.jpg

- Common Craft helps Ford explain how Microsoft SYNC works in its vehicles. It's so good it'll be the sole reason you buy a Ford. Or so says the video. It's pretty straight forward but this video explaining YouTube is MUCH more straightforward.

- Got thoughts? Head over to ThoughtPile and check out what everyone else is thinking. And maybe win a Herman Miller Embody chair.

- Do some good when you waste time playing an online game. The Motion Monkey created a game for The Anthony Nolan Trust, an organization that aids donor matching.
