Student Ad Campaign For Designer Features Leaky Breast

raoul_troouble.jpg

So there's a series of really weird ads up on Flickr for fashion label Raoul. The ads are spec work done by students in an advertising class in Singapore. As Flickr user skaplan explains, "some of my friends in Singapore asked some of the exchange kids to be white people in their concept ads they made for class." Hmm. While the ads are refreshingly un ad-like, this one in particular really makes one wonder what they were thinking when they created it. Then again, these are college students and they aren't all hung up on corporate culture that constrains creativity.

I think this particulair ad is on of 2 ads. The second one is the one before this one in the Flickr folder. It shows the same girl with her shirt now drowned in red wine so the shirt takes on a different colour and appears to be clean. It says something about the light way to look t things i guess. Which does not take away that its not so great admaking in my opinion. Maybe it's in the photography aswell.

Yeah, you really should have taken a closer look at these ads. This site has a schoolboy's fascination with big boobs, and that may have helped screw up your headline.

And you might want to roll back on the Benny Hill editorial comments.

Terrible headline! I don't know any women who's breasts leak blood... Did Adrants actually do any science at school?

Who said anything about blood? It's not blood. Do you think it's blood? I'm assuming it's milk. Don't you know the color of a shirt changes color when it gets wet?

Agreed. It's not blood.
Where would you get the idea it's blood when it's winish (sp?) in colour?
As for the other ads in this student series and not constraining creativity - umm, i'm no fashion plate but - they're not very anything.

Hi All,

the ad is meant to show the girl having a wine stain. The follow up ad shows her drowning her blouse entirely in wine to create a wine coloured blouse. The idea is to portray RAOUL women as quick thinking (because she's able to create smthg of value out of a blunder)n also composed because she doesnt fret under such a circumstance. Whoever would hav thought about breast leaking milk? For goodness sake.. it's ridiculous !
