Olive Garden Makes 250 Puke Then Offers Free Chance to Puke
That nasty sickness contextual advertising just can seem to shake has reared its ugly head once again. This time, those reading about how 250 people got sick after eating at an Indianapolis Olive Garden restaurant are now encouraged to experience their own sickness first hand compliments of a Free Dinner for Two at the national restaurant chain. Oh yes, Olive Garden wouldn't think of making you pay to get sick at one of their restaurants. They want you to get sick for free. How thoughtful.

Steve,
I'm sorry to say that this is not an example of a "contextual advertising" screw up. That ad was paid for by giftcardfreebies.com and was most likely served through a blind ad network as remnant inventory.
This is an example of a pure coincidence.

And how exactly would the consumer know that? Which is exactly my point. Oh wait, you mean that tiny type in the bottom right hand corner? We can't assume people seeing these ads know what's going on behind the scenes. No matter how this ad appeared, it's a bad appearance.
If I re Olive Garden, I'd be pissed,
Do not convict the entire company until you know what happened
It's just at 1 Olive Garden.
Sometimes it's not even the food joints fault, but a distributor of the product that they served that was already contaminated
contextual screw up 101.
Bad news...ur, super bad news>>> ..remove the banner from distribution. Period. As easy as using a crayon. no excuse for 300x250 banner appearing anywhere. remnat inventory? LOL! e-coli is here to stay. Expect random deaths in restaurants.
*couch* NAFTA.
Produce "fertilized" by excrement from workers that make a $+- a day from SOTB is fact of our era.
TB ran an "everything is a-ok at our restaunts" spot during Fox 5 NFL last night. Better than the dour "suit"/undertaker giving a somber speech would have been the executive loosing his tie and sitting down to a salad with a big smile and haapy munching sounds!
What a cop out!! Some guy blamed the distributor(the restuarant has a social obligation to check out its food sources when it makes that much money and serves that many people)...obviously an Olive Garden higher up! I ate at Chili's in the houston galleria on january 5th 2007 and got deathly ill. I have never been that sick in all my 35 years and it was 100% the crap I ate there at chili's....lesson learned the hard way. I'll go back to my non-chain neighborhhood restaurants where I have never gotten sick.

I am interested in finding out about the latest tv commercial for Olive Garden. I live in the Midwest. Olive Garden commercial now playing:
mother comes into restaurant and is met by waitress. Waitress says "may i help you". Mother says "I'm looking for my date. She has curly hair and her shoes may be untied". A small boy, accompanied with his father, stands up and waves so that the mother can see where they are seated. Either it is a girl that looks like a boy or the mother is saing He and his instead of She and her. Which is it? Please help me. It's driving me nuts. Thanks.
are you high or just incredibly retarded?
