Tampon Absorbs Entire Pool

ob_tamponad.jpg

Tampon maker O.B. has left all the crap about comfort and simplicity behind and zeroed on the product's main benefit: it absorbs a shitload of liquid. Enough said. I mean really. What else can be said about this ad? It's truly brilliant. Maybe a bit gross but brilliant none the less. That is, of course, if it is, in fact, a real ad.

Mom, sometimes I don't feel so fresh. And I think I'm retaining water. A lot of water.

"a shitload of liquid"? You're using it in the wrong hole, my friend.

I appreciate a direct approach on stuff like this. Like that TV pad spot with the space ship trick, or the Bran cereal spot with the construction guy.

Hmm... why is the area around the pool so desolate? I understand that they wanted to make sure the girl and the empty pool got all of the attention but I think it would have been stronger if the setting didn't seem so "broken down abandoned city pool."

done over and over again. first time i saw it was a tv commercial spoof on in living color for a tampon when a woman jumps in the pool and a whirlpool starts.

I doubt it's real -- "absorbent" is spelled incorrectly.

Must be fake, also for another reason - real url o.b. is different than the one mentioned in ad...

"city" setting? looks like a desert to me. As in: "Absorbed all moisture within 100 miles" -- or so it seems to me.

I saw this ad (spec) in the Ads of the World forum at the beginning of this year. Pretty sure it's student work.
