180LA is out with new work for Sony's new Bloggie Touch. Launching this week, the campaign is going after 18-25 year olds. The campaign will include a contest and Facebook application, with webcam upload and video editor built in, that lets consumers create their own "You had to be there" video.

Running until January 10, participants will have a chance to win Sony Bloggie Touch cameras with the Grand Prize Winner getting a VIP package for two to SXSW Music in March 2011.

To participate, users upload a video to the app, then record their description of that moment through their webcam or upload a video from their hard drive. Once the video is uploaded and edited, the participant 'Likes" the video in order for it to be published. Once the video passes a set of moderation guidelines, it gets posted to their Facebook wall and to the Sony Electronics Facebook and YouTube pages.

The contest is being promoted by several videos 180LA created and have seeded. In addition, the videos are being used in rich media banners. Flash banners and homepage takeovers on CNET, Facebook, FunnyorDie, Hulu, Meebo, MetaCafe, RollingStone, TMZ, Tremor, YouTube, JustinTimberlake.com, AOL, Engadget, VEVO, and Yahoo among others.
