Brian Solis to Head Pivot Conference, Adrants to Join Advisory
Pivot Conference, launched last year with over 700 attendees, is getting a new editorial leader: Brian Solis. Solis, who is taking over for Guidewire CEO Chris Shipley, is a well known speaker, author and an all around nice guy.
Dubbed the "TED of Marketing" by author Douglas Rushkoff, Pivot Conference is aimed at helping brand marketers and their agencies bridge the gap between themselves and the social consumer.
Of the conference, Solis said, "There are many conferences that present marketers with case studies, best practices and panels on social media. And while learning from these experiences is important, Pivot is different. This conference is not just about following the examples of others, but rather finding the inspiration to blaze a new trail for everyone to follow. And that makes Pivot better."
Brian has asked us (well, me, Steve Hall) to join the conference's advisory board and we are more than happy to do so and look forward to helping Brian craft content for the next conference which will take place in October. We hope to make this year's conference even better than last year's
