There are unconfirmed reports that former Van Halen rocker David Lee Roth will take over for Howard Stern when Stern leaves for Sirius Satellite at the end of this year. The report came from SteppinOutMagazine publisher Chaunce Hayden, a Stern regular who claims "an Infinity source has confirmed the signing."

Roth taking over for Howard Stern...Pauly Shore getting a new TV show...are these signs that the world is coming to an end?

One would think that if Infinity were really entertaining the idea of David Lee Roth that someone in the orgaanization would have actually had a conversation with Roth.

One would think that one conversation with Roth would kill the whole idea rather quickly.

The only saving grace for radio listeners is that they won't be subject to Roth's stupid permagrin.

Unfortunately, the fake laugh would come through loud and clear.

Roth is the sh!7 but i cant imagine him being successful in this role. He may have the ego to fill the shoes but not the ability.

I saw Roth live a couple years ago. it was sweet. he was still bustin the high kicks (alright, they were medium). He also sprayed the croud with JD. lol. now THAT is rock and roll.
