What's with Sales Genie?

salesgenie.jpg

"I don't work hard. I work smart."

Are they serious? Can somebody please get rid of them? Please? Who gave Sales Genie $4.6 mill and said "Knock yourself out"? If you're going to use a douchey chipper-colleagues-in-business ad, we'd appreciate a punchline.

In any event it appears their Super Bowl effort is an extension of a story that begins on their website. There's also an option to rate the commercial except it doesn't work.

Our friends are sitting around passive aggressively insulting each other with beer-weakened comebacks along the lines of, "You need Sales Genie." "No, you need Sales Genie." "No, you need Sales Genie."

They suck on so many levels. Where do I begin?

Didn't your Mother ever tell you "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"?

Sounds like you are just jealous that you or your company doesn't have 4.6 million dollars to put an ad on during the Super Bowl.

The whole point of an expensive Super Bowl ad is it's the best way to get millions of people to learn about your company. I'd never heard of Sales Genie before that ad, so it worked for me.

I disagree with Rhiannon. Those crappy salsegenie ads have much to say about the company. They wasted ~5 million dollars, not smart spending. They could have used it or invested it in a much smarter and efficient way. For starters, look at their website. What a joke. Buttons mixing in with their text. Horrible. Then there's messaging. What are they about? Sales lead, but how does it work? Confusing, frustrating.

It's hard to believe those ads cost even $1 mil. Any ad agency should be ashamed to charge that kind of money for that poor of quality!
I'm sure the company will need to lay off their employees now that they used all their money to put dumb commercials on the super bowl. Yet another example of poor planning on this company's part. It's the employees who will suffer, never the owner.

Great comments!!! The bottom line is this. The idea for this spot was poor and does not appeal to everyone. This spot did appeal to me because I am in sales. Last I heard they are doing very well! BAD IDEA. GREAT PRODUCT! TRY IT OUT!

Laughing all the way to the bank they are...guess it doesn't really matter how creative or stupid an ad is- as long as it gets the point across...

I thought they were amazing commercials. Obviously the point they were trying to make worked....got you all talking, now didn't it? I bet you had to go to your computer just to check it out yourself....funny how that works, huh?

Most of the people, like Rhiannon, get paid to say stupid positive BS. They workm either for the company or some dumbass get-rich quick scheme posting reviews online. The fact is, Sales Genie and their ads suck. I see better youtube viral video ads any day of the week and twice on Sunday. If you can't figure out how to get 100, or even 1000 free sales leads within and hour, then you have no business being in sales. Period.
