Video Advertising Distribution Gets Easier

Life just got easier, it would seem, for those of you charged with distributing online video ads. Eyeblaster has just released Channel Connect, a tool that lets you deliver pre-roll, mid-roll, post-roll and overlay ads without having to deal with all the confusingly proprietary video technologies different publishers use.

As explained in the release, Channel Connect removes the complexity associated with current online video ad models by standardizing video assets, enabling agencies to modify, swap and optimize the creative on the fly. Agencies can get consolidated third party analytics, including both standard and enhanced metrics such as reach and frequency, delivery, video progression, click-throughs and full-screen initiations through Eyeblaster Analytics.

This is great news, now I can pull out of the Google Tube (which has provided minimal reporting and horrible results) and use a something that actually works.

I wonder how many publishers are enrolled and excited about the end of the monopoly and high CPM. Third part apps have typically reduced CPM as agencies can actually compare
