New York Refuses to Stop Olympic Bid Marketing

olympics_clock_still_tick.jpg
PlasticMoonRain reports the gigantic Olympic Clock in New York City's Union Square has begun counting down again as if New York City Olympic officials refuse to believe London was awarded the 2012 Olympics. Wishful thinking is one thing. Begging is another. Someone, please, rip this thing down! Of course, Circuit City is, for sure, loving the added attention.

I could have swore that thing was actually counting up... making the already snide sign even more revolting. kind of like saying NYC 2012: NEVER!

Y'all ever think that maybe New Yorkers, despite their reputation (and I used to be one, mind you) might, just might be trying to be good sports about it, and are celebrating and promoting the Olympics, which is supposed to bring together countries in peace? Or are you all a bunch of jocks who see it as nothing but a bit sporting event that's all about the U.S. "kicking ass" and taking home the most toys... I mean, medals?

The Olympics was designed to promote interaction and good relations between foreign countries. I suggest those that can't understand the concept of good sportsmanship learn both some history and some manners? Oh, and please stay away from sports if you don't understand what it means to be a "good" one, please.
