Bangkok Subways Slathered With iPods

ipod_bangkok_subway.jpg

This absolutely beautiful iPod wrap on several Bangkok Mass Transit System subway cars makes one wonder why we don't see more of this kind of advertising in the states. Of course, there are only a few advertisers who could be trusted to create artwork that wouldn't end up looking crass and cause the urger to puke while riding to work but America's subway could sure use a little beautification.

We've got them here in Toronto's subway - they do look nice. And since we've got the same Bombardier subway trains as they have in New York City...

We have the same wraps on our light rail pulbilc trans in Minneapolis. I assumed it was in other large metro areas.

Cheers

Ditto on the Chicago El. Although they get dirty pretty fast.

Have our NYC subways ever participated with train-car exterior advertising? I would rather the MTA use ads for funding than continue to hike the rates. That recent $6 increase on the monthly unlimited hurts.

They just started doing this in Washington, DC. I know McDonald's was one sponsor.

They ought to wrap garbage trucks with it and drunks on rainy days too!
