Johnnie Walker Don't Walk No More

Stunting the Johnnie Walker walking man campaign is this anti-drinking ad which clearly indicates if you walk and drive with Johnnie more than you should.

Sorry. I don't get it. What am I missing? If I view this ad as a consumer, I think "if Johnnie walked" presumably because he had too much to drink, then why is he in a wheelchair? Did he get hit by a drunk driving a car?

Another example of "clever for the sake of being clever" but clearly off strategy.

No....he drove drunk, got into an accident himself and ended up in the wheel chair

Which reminds me of the great T-shirt I just saw on the beach in Mexico: Beer, now cheaper than gasoline. Drink, don't drive!!
