Starwood Hotels Joins Blogosphere

the_lobby_starwood.jpg

Launched in late March by Starwood Hotels, TheLobby promises "to help keep Starwood Preferred Guests on top of the latest travel trends." The blog offers general travel information as well as programs available at it collection of hotels including the Westin, Sheraton, St. Regis and W. The Wall Street Journal analyzes the whole thing but we'll sum it up. It's a blog. Great. They don't accept comments. Bad.

Interesting...they introduce a blog right after they announce the sale off a large part of their hotel empire to Marriott.

Steve - We read your comments about thelobby.com not having comments enabled for our launch last week and wanted you to know that today we made an adjustment to the site so that there are now moderated comments on thelobby.com.

One of the great things about having a weblog is that we can make changes based on feedback.

Over the next few weeks we’ll continue to address the ability for Starwood customers to participate in a dialogue on the site and we’ll continue to make adjustments like we did today.

I hope you track our progress
