The King Hooks Up With New Ad Babe

glossy_king.jpg

Shannon Stephaniuk of Toronto-based Glossy got to be queen for a day when she met up with the man in the strange mask who was in town shooting his latest commercial with the famed Perlorian Brothers. She had some time to hang with the King and get a few pictures. Since the King was dumped by Brooke Burke, maybe he's moving in on Shannon now. She is pretty cute after all.

Steve I think they should dump the guy in the stupid looking mask and keep her. If they would I might even stop long enough to see what the commericals had to say.

I hate the King. If the concept of the campaign is to keep people from eating at Burger King they are doing a smashing job-- he makes me feel physically ill.

The King is great! Love the character....Long live the King!

As for the young lady, pretty cute? please. Why is she holding on to the fence and what is she holding behind her back?

The only reason you guys hate The King is because The King wants you to hate him.

This is the unexpected genius of the campaign -- it's fueled by both love and hate.

Brent she's holding a box of KFC, and is tied to the fence to keep her from running away.

You're kidding, right? The King is the most brilliant thing that has happened to Burger King ever. Now, the "I Am Man" commercials could go off the air as far as I'm concerned, but the King is still the shit.

April reports were that the BK market share was 14% while McDonalds was 45%. They were listed number three at that time in the burger business, were reporting slowed sales and had been for a while. The the great turn around expert Brenneman turned and ran. Nothing from what I can tell has changed. So what's the problem? Maybe they should offer a Sub.

so...an ad that actually turns customers away for shopping is a good thing.

Though, if I am to agree with the board here I'd have to say I am in the minority.
I'll wait till the end of the year to see their earnings-- I could very well be wrong.
