Yes, You Really Do Want to Go to Cleveland's Institute of Art

cleveland_cia.jpg

Last month we featured a very weird and very whacked video from Cleveland agency Brokaw which was celebrating its 15th anniversary. Now, the agency has sent us some of its real work for its client the Cleveland Institute of Art which we really like. It's five minute, stop motion-ish video created with a sketch pad and some minimal effects. After all, educational institutions aren't famous for spending big in recruitment advertising. The video is nicely done and the voice over does just the right job of smack talking the educational recruitment process without overdoing it. It even highlights many reasons why a college student would want to go to Cleveland in the first place. Top on our list? The Barking Spider.

I must agree, the Barking Spider was a staple during my time at CIA

So cool it makes you want to go back to art school.

The Cleveland Museum of Art is awesome. Really impressive collections of all kinds of great stuff. Compares favorably to museums of bigger and more prosperous cities.

University Circle (where CIA is located) is also ranked somewhere as one of the most confusing places to drive in the world.

But that's okay. get out of your car, you lazy bum. because it's totally walkable and bikeable, at least until the lake effect snow cranks up 5 months a year.

Cedar-Fairmount and Coventry are both interesting neighborhoods up the hill from University Circle.

LakeView cemetary is in Little Italy and is very cool if you like cemetaries.

And the neighborhood of Little Italy blasts Sinatra and Dean Martin with outdoor speakers all day and all night regularly. That's Amore!

Ahh, cleveland, i miss you....sorta....
