Heavy Metal Band Created For Agency Holiday Card

Marina Dell Ray-based Ignited Minds wins the prize this year for first Holiday "card." The agency created a website for fictitious heavy metal band Karkis which includes a video, discussion boards, wallpaper, discography and all the other usual band site paraphanalia. It sure seems like a while lot of work an expense just to say Happy Holidays. If you choose to watch the video, be prepared to wait a very, very...uh...very long time for it to download.

The agency also placed an ad with the headline, "Karkis challenges every band in this paper to a knife fight," in LA Weekly promoting the site which you can see here.

What do you mean Karkis is not real? They seem like pure (un)holy hell to me... Evil knows no bias, so why do you?

sometimes metal bands just don't have the funds to do a music video, so they whore themselves out to ad agencies to get their message out. the small accounting firm i work for has cancelled all Secret Santa activities this year, all thanks to Karkis. Thanks Karkis(tm).

Ummmm... How can Karkis be fake if I went to a concert in Montana whereby I witness the Evil of Oz and the boys. Do your research, Adrants. Karkis is real and they will haunt you not only with their lyrics but physically... and metaphysically...
