Mark Timms Tries Improving on Indy Super Bowl Ad Idea

mark-timms.png

Mark Timms is creating what he calls "the first independent Super Bowl Commercial." He is appealing to the world at large for creative ideas and sponsorships. Check out the stars of the ad. (Don't worry, you won't know any.)

Timms is one of the three guys who put together the "first" consumer-generated Super Bowl ad effort some months ago. He explained that his partners weren't behaving like professionals, so he's doing it all by his lonesome this time around.

Gotta love CGA.

UPDATE: Commenters are calling Timms out as a spammer and scammer. (Yes, we checked the IPs, and yes, they're all different.)

Extra-extra, read all about it.

The creepy cartoon man reminds me of Will Forte's "Tim Calhoun" SNL sketches.

This Timms guy was fired from a speaking gig by the South Carolina Public Relations Society of America, has been replaced on the board of the Carolina Film Association, is being looked at by the legal departments of several reputable businesses, is being investigated with an eye toward criminal charges by various governmental agencies, and is a world class scammer. Mysuperadisascam.com tells the whole story about this crook. Investors, beware!

What's with all the "Thanks for the article" comments from this Mark guy? All that does is make you look desperate and stupid.

Posted by: tanya jones on January 3, 2008 07:58 PM

"Gotta love CGA"??????? You've got to be kidding me.

Hey Mark, DON'T DROP THE SOAP. You are gonna rot in prison, you scamming bastard. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Hey Mark, do you realize we're always going to find you spamming the internet and we're going to be right on your ass every time?

Mark Timms, Evan White and Robert Howie are all being investigated by several state and federal authorities, including the IRS, for their criminal wrongoings with respect to this scam.

Mark Timms is also the subject of investigations being conducted by a number of multi-national coporations for his unauthorized use of logos and tradmarks registered with the USPTO in a "demo commercial" posted on YouTube to promote the latest incarnation of his scam.

Potential investors: If there ever was a time when "buyer beware" comes to mind..this is it.

Wow, Mark, it sure looks like you've gotten yourself into a hell of a mess. Maybe you should just give the lady her prize.

Posted by: tanya jones on January 4, 2008 07:30 PM

HAHAHA he's spamming the comments as if he thinks this is going to go away!!!! YOU WISH, Mark!

This guy will be indicted before the year is out. Mr Flim Flam man can't even show his face in his home town!

There is a huge community of people that love to enter Sweepstakes and Contests as a hobby. There are also a lot of no-nonsense laws governing these activities that vary from state to state within the US. When it goes international? Who would have thought that some idiot college flop-outs would pull an international scam to the proportions of the UK Lottery crap we all have to put up with?

Morons like these MyBowlAd ingenues will have to be held up for ridicule as well as prosecution for the crimes they committed. As I understand this story, there was a promotion "winner" of a similar contest that they held like six months before? Mark Timms got the benefit of a lot of free press from Canada because the "winner" was physically handicapped. I think that there may be a YouTube link somewhere...

I'll post it later if I can find it.

Cabana Lily - I believe you're thinking of this clip?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDlSyfB_3ds

Everyone, the gentleman in the video does not have any issues with Timms and did request I leave him out of my protest and website, FWIW, so please don't pester him.

AdRants - thank you for linking and reading more about this. Sadly, Timms is still refusing to honour my prize. This is after putting in writing that he knew full about the contest, which ran from May until September 2007, and did nothing to stop it. If he had any issue with something his (in a legal sense) partner and co-owner of the company did in the name of MyBowlAd, he had ample time to put an end to it. He chose to put his head under his pillow and pretend it wasn't happening, and hoped it went away by itself.

And now he's playing ostrich again, by changing the company name and hoping all the bad publicity attached to himself and the company just goes away. But it won't - not whilst he continues to scam.

Posted by: Smartie on January 5, 2008 11:36 PM

Thanks for helping get the word out about Mark Timms and his scamming ways. He should have honored his obligation to begin with and he could have avoided all of this. Karma is definitely a bitch!

Mark Timms is scammer. I can't wait to see what happens to him next...

For the record, Ghostwise knew unlike this lady that it was a complete independent project totally dependent on it happening! I met him and his mom at 777 youtube and they all knew before they entered the contest! Anyone with a brain to look at the site could of figured that out! And also, I did not add the multiple thank you replies on purpose. I beieve one of you guys did that. You can enter anyone's username. I wouldnt do that as I know that would be stupid #1 and I know it wouldnt help in any way. Plus, I dont think like you guys do about rankings, hits, etc.... And for the record, to everyone else, I havent broken any laws therfore the federal blah blah blah is complete propoganda by these 8 losers on VFTW. I mean really, these guys are funny, the way they twist and make stuff up. They have nothing better to do, really. consume their minds with this and go to sleep every nite with dreams of Sanjaya and who is going to be their next idol. I mean really, you guys should have a Trekkie meet. You could call it "We have no life" convention.

You are ridiculous Mr. Timms. Where's my prize

Posted by: Smartie on January 6, 2008 03:13 PM

"And also, I did not add the multiple thank you replies on purpose. I beieve one of you guys did that. You can enter anyone's username. I wouldnt do that as I know that would be stupid #1", said Mark Timms 3 consecutive times, trying to say that he doesn't spam threads. What an incompetent tool. Seriously, why would anyone trust their money to this lying ("I have brought in $75,000, er, I mean $150,000, uh, no, wait, I've got #105,000 from investors for this ad) ass.

Adrants checked and found your detractors posting from seperate IPs, while I am sure all of your posts came from 1 IP address, yours. Adrants can confirm that you are lying about adding the multiple "thank you" messages, just like you addred the multiple "I didn't do it" messages. You are a liar, pure, simple, and provable.

Quit ripping people off, your scam is going to get no traction; and give Smartie the prize you owe her.

For visitors to this site who have found this comment thread; let me recommend that you balance your reading of Mark Timms' lies with a visit to mybowladisascam.com .

Again, Mark, all spamming does is make you look desperate and stupid. If you wanted people to know it was a "complete independent project totally dependent on it happening", you should have put that in a disclaimer like you're supposed to when running contests like these. Badmouthing the people you scammed and being immature about it isn't going to make your problems go away. Just own up and give Smartie the prize that you owe her.

Posted by: tanya jones on January 6, 2008 05:14 PM

Interesting - well I didn't post the entry marked 3:13pm because I was asleep. Mark, was that you? You silly boy.

Mark's also spamming Digg with this, and he's gotten a tad hysterical with his responses now. Scroll down to the ALLCAPS entry.

Let's clear this up. The appearance of the same comment over and over again is very likely to do with a flaw in the comment system we have here. Because it takes so excruciatingly long for a comment to post, some people click the Post button more than once and, without them knowing, that makes their comment post as many time as they clicked the Post button.

We'd love to fix the problem but we're out of ideas. If some people post under different names and are thought to be the same person, that's another story.

Posted by: Steve Hall on January 6, 2008 06:00 PM

Trust me, it's all different people. If you see Smartie's blogs, you'll see she's not the only one who's been screwed over by this Mark character. He has a history of passing the buck while his cronies go into hiding.

Don't worry, the truth will come out once the authorities have completed their investigation.

Posted by: Sean on January 6, 2008 06:40 PM

Steve, if you look at the IP for the post at 3:13pm, I bet you'll see it's the same IP Timms used at 3:11pm etc.

Definitely wasn't me - due to the 16hours or so time difference between America and Australia, I was fast asleep at the time :)

Mark, Aussies are mostly missing teeth and a little on the stupid side. Give it up dude! They are all inbred from crooks in the 19th century.

Posted by: YO MOMMA on January 6, 2008 09:12 PM

Is "Yo Momma" actually "Marks Momma?" Looks like class runs in the family. :rollseyes

Posted by: Cahaba_Lily on January 6, 2008 10:27 PM

Very lovely generalization of Australians, Momma. And evidently, if you're Timm's Momma, you know all about breeding crooks, don't you?

Posted by: Susan on January 6, 2008 10:28 PM

Oh Mark, you're not actually making this any better for yourself, you know. *rolls eyes*
