Hopeless Romantic Raising Money For Super Bowl Proposal Ad

super_bowl_proposal.jpg

Having already raised $61,931, a "hopeless romantic" has created a site called My Super Proposal where he is trying to raise enough money to buy a Super Bowl commercial in which he will propose marriage to his girlfriend. The URL of the site is, of course, registered anonymously so punditry on whether this is real or the machinations of some brand will have to wait. Acknowledging thaefact there are some pretty dedicated (weird?) people in this world along with mischievous marketers bent on doing the next coolest thing, it could go either way. We'll just have to wait and see.

Nice post... I'd like to know who's behind the site. Thanks for the information, I use your site a lot to find stuff for a blog I'm doing for class.

Public proposals always make me sick. Like the guy who gets down on one knee at a concert with the spotlight on him. Even if she wants to say "No - let's start seeing other people," what can she do here, put on the spot like that?

At least in this case the lady about to be assualted on National TV by her jock boyfriend can make her refusal in private, although this clown will liekly have a house full of friends and family over for the game, everyone in on the big gag.

The site has a copyright of 2005...curious.

If she says no, does everyone get their money back?

These donate sites are popping up everywhere. The MAC Laptop one from earlier in the week was pretty funny.
