PayPerPost Pays Bloggers to Link to Paid PayPerPost Posts
Is it just us or has this PayPerPost thing gone to far? PayPerPost is the company that pays bloggers to write positive posts about a brand. Now the company has launched an affiliate program that promises to pay other bloggers recruit other bloggers and pay them to link to the posts written by the original PayPerPost bloggers. Let's see if we can get this straight. PayPerPost is going to pay bloggers to link to other blogger's content, for which the sole reason of its existence was cash changing hands. Is anyone else having a WTF moment about this right now? Have these PayPerPost people lost all sense of reality? There are so many things wrong with this on so many levels.

MediaPost got a significant fact wrong and you repeated it here. Review My Post is open to ANY blogger (Postie or not) to drive feedback/marketing of ANY post (sponsored or not) on their site. Kinda crazy, but true.

So it seems PayPerPost paid a blogger to write a favorable article about PayPerPost. That being said, is PayPerPost going to pay bloggers to link to the paid PayPerPost post supporting PayPerPosts 'Pay Bloggers to Link to Paid PayPerPost' posts program?

"recruit," "open to any." Hardly an earth shattering difference. We've made the correction and we still have the same conclusion.: it's stupid and insane and your "fully disclosed," sponsored link just makes it all the more so.
I'll play along Steve, but with details instead of broad generalizations.
What exactly is "stupid" and "insane" about compensating people to provide feedback for any blogger on any post containing the "Review My Post" badge? It doesn't replace any other blog improvement efforts and every blogger I know would enjoy getting more marketing and feedback on their blogging -- especially if someone else is picking up the tab to encourage more feedback.
"Review My Post" is a no-brainer, win-win for ANY blogger. For someone in your field and with your claimed experience, you know there is value in that marketing and feedback to improve one's blogging -- whether you'll admit it or not.
EKB: Referring to "Review My Post" as "Pay Bloggers to Link to Paid PayPerPost" shows you're missing the whole point of the program and my prior comment. If you carry the RMP badge on your posts they will get reviewed and you'll get feedback on your blog/posting -- completely unrelated to whether your posts are sponsored or not. That's value, plain and simple.
If you ask me it is ridiculous.
