Condescending White Guy Gets Ass Kicked by Asian Girls

Here's a creepy twist on the American Psycho premise.

You're in the Chinese laundry. Some hotshot white executive walks in and starts heckling the pitiable Asian owner in front of his family. He makes the nasty requisite Pokemon and Hello Kitty jokes, does the grating "oriental" accent. Things are clearly spiraling out of control.

Suddenly, a black dude in the background takes a call on his Jawbone Bluetooth headset. And in a noise-canceling orchestration Bose would be proud of, the world beyond his convo is efficiently muted.

In the safety of silence, two Asian girls get up, put a plastic bag over the white collar exec's head, and start beating the living crap out of him. Their mom soon joins in. No sign of dad, not that it matters anymore; you're just staring in horror at the guy's face, which is getting redder and redder and redder in his little plastic bag.

Somewhere in the background, you hear the black guy making sexy-talk with his wife.

The (literal) punchline? Jawbone eliminates noise. Oh fucking ouch.

We're not really sure what to think. We are scared -- like, in a "Patrick Bateman just walked through our living room" kind of way.

Brought to you by Feed Company, the same chaps that brought us RayBan's "Never Hide" -- which is bunny-tame in comparison. And right now, we really want to hug a bunny.

Creepy is the right word for this. So is tasteless. And gross.

Holy crap. Now, that guy deserved the beatdown, but that is still bizarre and disturbing.

What I told the jerks who sent me an email asking me to post about this on What's Next Blog: "no I will not write about that piece of shit." and it's hard to imagine why you would. tasteless, stupid, ugly, racist, you name it - anything but viral. blecch.

BL: This year's SalesGenie Super Bowl ads generated angst about racism toward Indians and Asians -- but I thought this video might actually unearth different kinds of sensitivities.

Is the white guy the only racist? Is it okay to give minorities carte blanche to hate and harm the white guy even if he apparently "deserves" it?

When I posted this, I hoped some people see it and find that stereotype equally unpalatable. I personally find it frightening to watch, and I think the source of that fear is instructive.

That's part of what I like to think Adrants is here for. If we confined our racy finger-pointing to T&A campaigns, I would have very little to do... =)

I am actually speechless. This ad scares me for reasons I can't articulate.

You know what sucks about this? Look at the channel page:

It'll obviously never run on TV. And it's already a dead virus. A couple hundred views a piece.

So.....this cost ALOT of money and ALOT of trust that a client had for an agency.

We only get so many shots to do great work.

Complete shit like this makes it harder for everybody who works at an agency to get the trust WE need to make good work.

It's clearly a blind stab in the dark for "controversy."

But from where will it be controversial?

I've seen a dude get fucked to death by a horse online, and it'll never run on TV.
